Position Overview

Gradwell sells directly to UK small business customers, typically with less than 10 employees. The customers find out about us via PR activity, word of mouth and online advertising. They are then driven to purchase online or by the Telephone, at which point they talk to our Technical Account Managers.

Your role will be to work alongside our web developers, working on the copy/words we use to describe our products; identifying key phrases that people use to find us on the internet; embedding those into our product descriptions to maximize search engine optimization (SEO) & developing online advertising using Google Adwords and other online advertising networks.

You’ll be working with methodologies developed and promoted by Perry Marshall, Chris Cardell and others.

A key part of this process is to measure and test, so you’ll be gathering stats, worrying about leads generated, click through rates and page ranks to continually optimize and improve our online marketing.

The Product

We provide technology for every line on your business card. For a small business that’s the email address, web site server space, broadband and most importantly, the Telephone system for that business.

We offer “Hosted PBX”, where the customer has telephone handsets on their desk connected to their broadband internet, and we run the phone system “in the cloud”.

Our products make best use of the latest technology, are backed-up by expert support, relied upon by thousands of UK small businesses and designed for entrepreneurial & growing business customers with an eye to the future.
We are a pioneer in the exciting new world of Internet communications and our company is growing rapidly, bucking the current economic trend.

About the role

We are looking for someone with a natural interest in Technology, Computers and Telecoms, but who has the skill of being able to understand the best choice of words for describing it to a small business owner through the medium of online advertising.

To help you get started, we have a structured induction and product training programme and you will work alongside experienced colleagues. You will be part of our “Product and Web” team who are a dynamic and energetic team responsible for: product management, our website and online sales, customer and staff training and our wider marketing plans. You can call on them at any time to help you get the customer proposition right.
